Fish pedicure spas operate without oversight in Ohio; banned in some states

Our very own Dr. Jim San Filippo, from the Center for Surgical Dermatology in Westerville, recently spoke with NBC4’s Tom Sussi about the new trend of fish pedicures.

According to Ohio Law, all instruments used in traditional nail salons, like files and pedicure tubs, must be cleaned and sanitized between customers, yet these laws don’t apply to fish pedicure spas.
